How to DIY an Anthropologie Snow Globe Candle
This is the perfect budget friendly gift idea that is also personalized and so adorable!
I was surprised I could source the snow globe, moss, paint, monogram letters, glitter and mini Christmas trees at a Dollarama! Our IG family told me that the Dollar tree has the wooden mushrooms! The only thing not from the dollar store was the candle and the Rub n’ Buff, but the dollar store has gold paint!
Embroidery needle
Hot glue gun
Slip joint pliers (optional)
Paintbrush
Red paint
White paint
Here’s a link to all the items I used and alternatives.
STEP 1
Customize the letter by painting to the colour scheme of your choice or someone’s favourite colour! I used Rub n’ Buff then added white polk a dots with glitter.
TIP
Add glitter before the paint dries!
STEP 2
Open your snow globe, poke in your trees and hot glue the letter in the foreground.
TIP
Use an embroidery needle to poke through the base. Don’t forget to remove the base of your mini tree. A plier makes it easier to insert in with force!
STEP 3
Paint any extra miniatures like a mushroom or something you associate with the gift recipient. Hot glue remaining miniatures onto the base.
TIP
Placing your miniatures with a plier avoids knocking or shifting any of the other items!
Step 4
Sprinkle in snow and assemble your custom snow globe.
Step 5
Hot glue the snow globe to the candle of your choice and surround the base with moss.
TIP
Trim your moss for a cleaner look!
Not only is this a cute gift, I think this would be a great activity to make with loved ones and younger ones! How did you personalize your snow globe candle? I’d love to see your creations! Tag me @thekwendyhome on any social media platforms so I can see what you made!
