How to DIY Damage Free Garland Hanging Hack
Here’s a Christmas decorating hack for you! Damage free garland hanging with a shower curtain rod!
I took the shower curtain from our guest bathroom and tested this out for myself. It has held up really well! I even put my heavy Norfolk pine garlands on and it didn’t budge.
Now go forth and deck those halls!

Here’s a link to all the items I used.
Step 1
Decide where you will have your hanging garland.
STEP 2
Use a curtain rod and tighten at the entry.
Tip
You can use cardboard or cardstock paper at the end for little to no marks.
STEP 3
Drape and wrap your shower curtain rod with your garland. You might need two garlands for a fuller look. Remember to fluff your garland.
Step 4
Weave your twinkle lights into your garland and add accent ornaments or accent garland in. Remember to fluff or spread your accent garland too!
STEP 5
With a step ladder, raise your shower curtain rod to your desired height. Two people would make it smoother!
Step 6
Turn on your twinkle lights and enjoy!
This is perfect for renters and those who don’t want to put nails in their walls. And an added bonus is that you don’t get a crick in your neck or get tired arms from decorating 😅
Where did you hang your hanging garland and how magical was it? I’d love to see your creations! Tag me @thekwendyhome on any social media platforms so I can see what you are enjoying!
