How to DIY an Upcycled Christmas Garland
This upcycled garland is such a beautiful DIY. Let’s give a tube of tomato paste a new lease on life!
It is perfect for your autumnal decor, Thanksgiving and for Christmas. It gives me all the cozy cottagecore feelings.
In other words, I need more tomato or mustard tubes! What other packaging can we upcycle?

Materials
Tomato paste tube
Smooth edged kitchen utensil
STEP 1
Saving your emptied tomato paste tube, cut open the package.
STEP 2
Open and wash out emptied package.
Step 3
Smooth out the packaging, I used the smooth end of a butter knife.
STEP 4
Using a pen, draw and cut your design. I made two variations of leaves and acorns.
Step 5
Etch out the details on your cut out designs with an embroidery needle or a pencil.
STEP 6
Poke a hole and thread your design through the wire. Hang and enjoy!
TIP
Pinch the wire to create a placeholder for your tin ornament so it doesn’t move.
The possibilities are endless. Imagine cutting out your own Merry Christmas garland or any letter garland. You can do little moons 🌙 and stars ✨ or even little mushrooms.
Where did you hang your garland? What did you design? I’d love to see your creations! Tag me @thekwendyhome on any social media platforms so I can see what you made!
