How to Make Strawberry Bark
Will you be my Valentine?
This Strawberry Bark recipe is so delicious, crunchy and buttery.
Ingredients
Strawberries
Peanut butter
Chocolate
Salt flakes
Sprinkles
Equipment
Cutting board
Knife
Bowl
Spoon
Tray
STEP 1
Slice your strawberries in 1/2 cm slices and lay them flat on a piece of parchment paper.
Step 2
Heat up your peanut butter in 45 second intervals until it is runny enough to spread easily. Drizzle the peanut butter on top of your strawberries, making sure to get between the slices.
I laid it on pretty thick because my Valentine’s loves PB. I used about 1 1/4 cup of peanut butter for this bark.
STEP 3
Melt your favourite type of chocolate. I went with a classic Lindt milk chocolate bar and a bar of Swiss double milk bar. Melt that down at 45 second intervals and take it out every time to stir it with a spoon. Get it to a nice thick runny consistency and layer it over the peanut butter.
STEP 4
Sprinkle flakey salt on top before it hardens. I also added in some festive sprinkles and some edible glitter to make it look extra pretty. Then pop it into the freezer for 2 hours or until it hardens. I left it in over night.
STEP 5
Chop it up into squares and enjoy with a loved one or have it all to yourself!
This makes for a very great last minute Vday gift 😉
