How to Make Apple Butter
The apple butter goes a long way with so many choices!
This tastes great with toast, ice cream, waffles, oatmeal, on sandwiches as a spread, or used as a base for sauces and marinade!
EQUIPMENTS
Cutting Board
Knife
Spatula
Measuring cup
Blender
Glass jar
Fridge
Ingredients
Apples
2 cups of water
1/2 a lemon
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1/3 cup of brown sugar
dash of all spice (optional)
Step 1
Peel, core and cube 4 medium apples.
Step 2
In a saucepan, combine chopped apples with 2 cups of water, lemon juice from half a lemon, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and 1/3 cup of brown sugar.
Step 3
Bring to a boil and let simmer on low for 1.5 hours.
TIP
Don’t forget to stir once in a while.
Step 4
Blend mixture till smooth and bring it back to stove to simmer on low for another 2 hours.
Step 5
Put mixture in a jar and let cool then refrigerate. Enjoy!
