Turning my Passion into my Job with LG gram

A lot can happen in a year and a half. And the past 18 months have really changed a lot of our lives.
Many of you may know, I used to be a flight attendant. It was a dream job but it didn't allow for me to flex my creative muscles, so I created my Instagram account in the late months of 2017 to document my home decorating journey.
Slowly, I began to build my platform and started a blog in 2019. I would fly Tuesday to Friday and come home and work on my content from Saturday to Monday. It was a hobby and side hustle that turned into my passion, and finding ways to be most productive, within the limited time I had, was key to my success.
When I lost my job in March of 2020, content creation became my main source of income.
I still can't believe that I was able to turn my passion into a viable means to support my family. It has truly been a blessing.
I actually have very exciting news that I've been dying to share with you. My airline called me back to work this July. But during these past 18 months I realized that my blog could be my full-time job, thanks to YOU. I weighed the pros and cons and have come to the conclusion that this is what I want to do. I can't believe this is official and it's really happening. It's so exciting!
Every day is different and dynamic! I usually wake up around 7:30 AM and start my day by opening up my LG gram laptop to check my email. The gram is perfect for me because one charge lasts all day. I like to address all the urgent emails first and save the ones that need a bit finer tuning for later in the day, when I'm a bit more awake haha!
Then I spend part of my morning planning ahead for my content in the next few weeks. I like to have a list of tasks to complete each day to stay organized. And to stay inspired and motivated, I actually like to move around quite a bit when I do desk work. I find that I concentrate the best when I sit at a coffee shop. The LG gram is the lightest laptop on the market and only weighs 2.2 lbs. This is perfect for me because I lug around a ton of floor, tile and counter samples with me everywhere I go. With the gram laptop being ultra-lightweight and ultra-portable, it doesn't hinder me from bringing additional tools that I need for my job.
I bring my laptop with me everywhere because you never know when inspiration will strike, plus I have a lot of deadlines. I love that I don't have to bring my laptop cable with me because the battery life can last up to an impressive 25.5 hours! I don't have to limit myself when I go out and I love that I don't have to worry about finding a spot to charge my laptop in the middle of the day!
A bulk of my day is spent shooting and filming content but I've also been visiting the new house a lot lately. It's been incredible to be able to focus on designing our new home but there is a lot of meetings involved. I find myself travelling up to the house 2-3 times a week to meet with our contractors and to finalize design choices. (That's why I bring so many things with me, my laptop, tripod, paint chips, and recently, my kitchen hardware!)
I love that I can take my work with me and work remotely from anywhere. I truly love my job and I wake up every day excited to get to work. I still can't believe that I get this second chance to have a dream job that I love so much!
